Quantitative LCA Evaluation
Minju Song is interested in designing systems and policies that improve waste reduction and resource recovery efficiency—such as source separation and collection systems, incentives, and the advancement of EPR—as well as in the quantitative evaluation of policy effects through LCA. Through evidence-based policy proposals, the goal is to contribute to the design of integrated circular economy policies centered on resource efficiency.

Yernazar Kuan is particularly interested in upcycling nanocellulose-reinforced biodegradable bioplastics as alternatives to petroleum-based plastics. His recent focus includes nanocellulose extraction from fruit peels accumulated in landfills, which will further be investigated into reinforcement study.

Student Yoon Misun has gained extensive practical experience in sustainable management strategy development, disclosure, and responses to global regulations while working at Aekyung Industrial and Deloitte Anjin LLC. In particular, she has explored ways to measure the value of sustainability activities and ensure comparability from various corporate perspectives. Building on this career, she is now focused on developing methodologies to assess the value of corporate ESG investments and infrastructure based on accurate and consistent standards. Ultimately, her goal is to support companies in establishing more proactive sustainability strategies by conducting research that assists the process of converting non-financial factors into financial value.

Moving forward, Younghyun aims to contribute to a sustainable future by conducting various experiments and studies to reduce carbon emissions and promote the adoption of eco-friendly energy solutions.

Zainab's work sits at the intersection of clean-energy technology, finance, and policy in the MENA region. Her current research stream examines hydrogen plant location determinants by studying resource profiles and capacity factors, water sourcing options, land and permitting, and much more.
