Climate change is the most serious issue facing humanity. Climate change, which was considered vague, has become a daily life and is living in an era of new normal. The era of the new normal is a bit embarrassing, but on the other hand, it's also a time of opportunity. Humanity has always survived and grown as a challenge to solve problems. Climate change will also provide new opportunities for challengers. In this colloquium, we're looking at the field cases of people challenging the new opportunities of climate change. It will introduce the challenges of various startups, accelerators, and venture capital activities, as well as efforts to transform energy of Korea's existing major industries. At the same time, we will introduce domestic and foreign national policies to prepare for the era of climate change, and introduce historical implications related to energy transition. This colloquium will be opened as a mandatory course (GGS966, 1 credit) for the second semester of the KAIST Green Growth Sustainable School (GGGS) 2023, but will also be open to all members of KAIST.
The colloquium will be recorded and released on YouTube.
